direct to beer
this project is a reminiscence to the first wave of anthropological field recordings into wax cylinders beginning of 1900.
at this time it was very chic in certain circles to travel far away , to record exotic voices, tunes or languages, and the hopefully to return with the engraved cylinders and play them back in front of the "society".

"direct to beer" is doing almost the same thing. capture peoples voice, engrave it into clyinders. this time into a 500ml beer can.
in trade of a beer i will get the recording. the plan is to travel around with this machine and collect many cylinders from allover and to create a contemporary archive of "beer" voices.
